Maintaining your health care coverage is very important to us. If you are a Medicaid, Child Health Plus (CHP), Essential Plan (EP) or Qualified Health Plan (QHP) member, and have enrolled using the NY State of Health website, you will receive a Letter and an email (if you provided an email address) letting you know when and how to renew your coverage.
For Medicaid, Child Health Plus (CHP) members (who have enrolled prior to ACA)
If your Medicaid Coverage is through New York City HRA, you will be receiving a package containing renewal paperwork that needs to be completed and returned to them by the “Respond By” date.
If your child’s or children’s CHP Coverage was through MetroPlus, you will no longer be receiving Renewal Paperwork. You will have to enroll your child’s or children’s through New York State of Health. A letter will be mailed to you 90 days and 60 days in advance of their Health Care Coverage Termination Date. The letter will explain the process and indicate the help available to you. You can access the New York State of Health website at nystateofhealth.ny.gov

For Medicaid, Child Health Plus (CHP), Essential Plan (EP) and Marketplace (QHP) members (who have enrolled through the NY State of Health Marketplace)
If you enrolled via the NY State of Health Marketplace for any of the plans listed above, you will be receiving a letter from the NY State of Health explaining the next steps for renewing your coverage.
