How to Renew
MetroPlus Gold
MetroPlus Gold is only available to employees of MetroPlus and HHC, their spouses or qualified domestic partners and eligible dependents (unmarried, dependent children up to 19 years old; up to 23 years old if full-time student). Children of HHC employees who exceed the age limit for coverage as a dependent can purchase health benefits coverage through their parent's plan. To be eligible for the "Young Adult Option", the child must be 29 years of age or younger; unmarried; not eligible for health benefits through his/her employer; live, work or reside in the service area of the parent's plan; and not be covered by Medicare. Employees can enroll at the time they are hired or during the fall Open Enrollment period. Contact your MetroPlus or HHC benefits manager for more information or call MetroPlus Gold Customer Services at 877-475-3795 Monday - Saturday, 8 am - 8 pm.
